Author Joy Porter Creates Nursing Directories to Help People Become Nurses
In keeping with her mission of helping people become Nurses, Joy Porter, has founded the website LPNSchoolDirectory.com. Joy says: “I want people to find every Practical Nursing school available to them. If you search the internet, you will only see schools that can afford to advertise! However, there are many schools that are great – so I’m listing every single one of them”.
With the nursing crisis becoming more dire every day (the first set of baby boomers are turning 65 in 2011), Joy’s hope is that her online nursing school directory will help people achieve their dreams. “I like the thought that I’m helping people… who want to help other people. Nurses are very special and I’m glad to encourage those who are called to this career”.
She is also launching CNASchoolDirectory.com and RNSchoolDirectory.com in the Spring of 2011. These directories will support people who want to become Certified Nursing Assistants (Nurses Aides) and also those people who want to find Registered Nursing Schools.
Joy says that having the right information is the first step to making decisions about ones career. She continues: “I wrote the book: Get Your RN Faster: Bypass RN School Waiting Lists, to give people the information they need about online RN programs. Many people are spending years in school to only find a waiting list after all their hard work. This method has been a secret that traditional RN schools don’t mention”.
Between the nursing education books that Joy Porter is writing and the websites that she is developing, the path to becoming a nurse will never be the same!
